We should just rename this thread "Zephyr is the only one that plays games anymore"

Well guess what, it's that time of year again :)

Here's all the games I finished last year:
Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure
Grand Theft Auto V on PC
Zelda Breath of the Wild (My GOTY, The only real game from 2017 I even played)
Chronicles of Teddy
Dreaming Sarah
Titan Souls
Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim
Sonic Generations
Killer 7
The Music Machine
The Witcher Enhanced Edition
The Witcher 2
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (This would have been my favourite game of 2015 had I played it then)
Rituals
D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die
Kirby: Planet Robobot
Batman: Arkham Knight
Tales from the Borderlands: Catch a Ride
TIMEframe
Yoshi's Woolly World
Portal Stories: Mel
The Magic Circle
The Talos Principle: Road to Gehenna
Tales from the Borderlands: Escape Plan Bravo
Doki Doki Literature Club (close second for GOTY but not as good as Zelda)

NO, this is my thread now.

I've yet to play any Naughty Dog games beside Crash Bandicoot 1.
Now that I've got a PS4 I'll have to get the inevitable bundle releases for Uncharted and TLOU some day. Incidentally I've been enjoying the hell out of Bloodborne.

I had a friend recommend it to me. I honestly don't know why I bothered with an Xbone, it has no games.

So I just finished Bloodborne a few minutes ago. Poetically ironic I finished it with an actual blood moon event happening now.

So I just finished Nier Automata's true ending. I can see why it was many people's top game of 2017.

Finished Assassins Creed Rogue today.

I didn't do a great deal of exploring or collecting because after ACIII, Black Flag and Freedom Cry I was really over sailing so I mostly just stuck with the story and upgraded enough stuff to not die too easily.

It was a nice game though, interesting story and I liked seeing things from the Templar point of view.

Now I'm onto Assassins Creed Unity, an AC game actually made specifically for the current gen consoles! I've played a bit of it so far and it's already a noticeable improvement in graphics, even though the other games I played were remasters or maxed out on PC.

Because it took so long to finish they never got a chance to play BOTW?

Done with Assassins Creed unity. I loved the Paris setting and the return to basics of just running around a giant city doing shit.

Now I'm up to Assassins Creed syndicate and omg it's Grand Theft Carriage! London looks awesome, especially seeing all those famous landmarks.

Finally finished the Champion's Balad DLC for Zelda. Had a ball with it. It's a nice little extra bit of story content and plenty to do in it. I've still got the finish the Trial of the Sword DLC but I keep getting bodied in the final trial so I probably won't get back to that.

I think I'm done with Captain Toad. It was a fun game but I wish there was more Odyssey levels. There's 3 episodes and they're exactly the same as the Wii U version. It's still fun and it's got charm but I found myself wondering if I was finding it easy because I'd played it before or if it was just an easy game. Probably serves me right for buying the Wii U.

The only new levels were the four SMO and I found myself really wishing they'd made a full episode about that. It'd be a really cool nod to when you find Captain Toad in random places in SMO and he gives you a star that he found. WE COULD KNOW WHERE HE FOUND THE STARS GUYS! I absolutely loved the mine cart ride through the Cascade Kingdom. The only thing missing was a T-Rex to jump out at you from somewhere.

The bonuses after that were pretty bland to be honest. There's one where you have to find your crew and all find the star and another where you're getting chased by a mummy that follows your path. I got up to one of the bonus levels (called Mummy-Me Forever) where you have to run around collecting coins and running from a mummy. I think I have to get 5000 to unlock the next thing but if what I'm reading on the internet is right it's just the other bonus coin levels that you get randomly playing the game and I'm not that interested.

I remember remarking when Captain Toad Wii U came out that it felt like it it should be a short little game downloadable from the eShop and it still feels like that. Good fun, but easy and short.

I'm wondering if the 3DS would be the right system to get Captain Toad on then? I tried the demo and it looked and worked pretty well (the 3D effect suits the level design and camera angles and feels surprisingly organic) but what baffles me is they repeat the game on both screens at the same time. It's incredibly distracting seeing the same game being played on the bottom screen when looking at the top screen and vice versa.

I've been playing some of the phone based games on Hyper's list of 200 must play games.

I've played Zen Bound, well Zen bound 2 which includes the levels from Zen Bound 1. It's ok and not a bad concept but I got bored pretty quick and didnt really feel like trying to 100% levels

I also played Threes!. A fun game that could become addictive

I've also download Monument Valley but have yet to play it
