Thank you so much! I really appreciate it :)

The stream starts at 5pm AWST on 10th november and runs until 5pm AWST 11th November. I'm a bit nervous about it as it's a big thing. I can't remember the last time I did a 24 hour anything, and starting at 5pm may have been a mistake. Have to make sure I sleep in til at least lunch time that day. I also hope I've set the donation goals properly. I have no idea if I'm being unrealistic about what can be raised in a 24 hour period. I've got rewards at $100, $250, $500, $750, $1000 and $1500. I'd like to think I'll get to $1000, but also think $1500 may be pushing it a bit. I guess I'll see next week.

How're you all doing? Things are looking pretty okay here in Melbourne these days.

Also I'm down from about 130ish Kgs this time last year to about 115 this week. My weight loss is slow but consistent.

Great job man! Keep it up. It's a slow journey but you can do it!

I'm doing better. Focusing on my 24 hour stream tomorrow. I think I'm ready. Going to set up some scenes this evening, then I should be done. Now just to push it on social media.

Usually yes, but I'm doing this for a channel called GameOnAus. If I remember to do it I'll be hosting GOA from my stream but not monitoring the chat.

Thanks man. I'm starting to stress a bit now. I'm worried that some of the updates won't have downloaded in time for the stream. Bloody 46GB day 1 patch for Valhalla, then then next game is Sea Of Thieves, which is another 46GB download. Currently only 5Gb of Valhalla downloaded and it's saying 4 hours to finish. If there wasn't a mark on the download bar aout a third of the way in that said "Ready To Start" I'd be shitting myself right now.

God help me with Destiny 2 Beyond Light drops and I have to download that. I'm so glad I had Basse Destiny 2 installed on my old XB1 and I just did a hard drive transfer. That shit would take days to download.

Download rate picked up. Now it's down to 2 hours 8 minutes. It just might be downloaded before I start streaming!

I got an XSX but on Tuesday. Curious to see who got a PS5

Thank you so much ItsAMe for tuning into my 24 hour stream! You're amazing! Shaved the face this morning for the first time in a couple of years. Is it normally this cold?

I got the PS5 yesterday. Still waiting on the second shipment for my XSX.

The PS5 is pretty great, I got Demon's Souls and Spider-Man Miles Morales Ultimate Edition and they are beautiful games. The console itself is massive, pictures don't really give you a sense of how big it is in real life.

Doing some hard drive and network transfer juggling now to move some of my PS4 stuff to the PS5

From what I've seen/read/heard, it might be best using the internal PS5 SSD for PS5 games and using an external SSD drive for PS4 games.
Using the internal PS5 SSD for PS4 games only helps with loading times.

Yeah that's how I have it set up. PS4 games on a 2tb external. PS5 games won't even transfer to the external, not even as a backup if you run out of space on the internal drive

I'll be waiting a while to buy both when I have more time, money and there are more games. Also think it's time for me to get a 4K TV

I have a 4K tv but it's not one of those fancy 120Hz ones but at least it has HDR so I'm not in a rush to upgrade (and I don't expect many games to hit 120fps or 8K anyway).

I've just been switching between spidey and demons souls. I completed Demons on the PS3 back in the day so at least remember some of the traps this time around, and it just looks amazing.

I also have AC Valhalla but I bought it for Xbox so that I have something to play on the Series X when I get it, at the moment just playing it on the One X.

Is that 2TB a HDD or SSD?
Just a shame, that Sony won't let you install a new SSD straight away in the PS5 console - Sony still have to do compatibility tests with vendors SSDs to make sure it can keep up with the speed. Sony will then release "approved" SSDs that can be used in the PS5.

EDIT: I've seen enough YT videos on PS5 & XBSX for the past few days. I like the "Quality of Life" improvements for both consoles, still haven't convinced me enough to get one right now.

It's a 2TB HDD. It was originally in my PS4 (after swapping out the original 1TB) but I swapped them back to use it as an external on the PS5. If I can get a compatible M2 SSD drive at the right price I might go for it because I've already used up half the internal space and all I have is Astrobots, Spiderman MM, Spiderman Remastered and Demon's Souls.

I also have a 4TB External HDD to use for the Series X because I intend that to be my "main" console this generation so wanted space for my Xbone and BC games, as well as backup storage for Series X games once I fill up the main drive. I'm not paying $360 for 1TB extra SSD storage, that's insane.

Can't wait for prices to drop so I can get a PS 4 (not a typo) I'm more than happy to be cheap... Otherwise, I got a game collection to catch up on like Dungeon Siege 1.

I see the logic (from a $$$ point of view) and I was thinking the same thing of getting a PS4 Pro (for the spare room) when the prices drop (my theory, Sony would phase out the PS4 slims and PS4 pro would take it's place).

But having seen all the YT videos, from a hardware point of view, for me I'd use the proposed PS4 pro money and get a PS5 in 2 years time , when there's a decent library of games, they've sorted out any hardware issues and when there's a decent PS5 bundle.

Knowing my luck, when I get a PS5 console Sony will announce the PS5 slim and PS5 Pro. :/
