So I did a google search on Str8JaktJim this morning (I do it every now and then to see if anything interesting pops up) and I came across this article about the PAX panel I did earlier this year about Star Wars games. I'm feeling pretty chuffed now. I mean I haven't heard of Geek News Now and they don't seem very big (they've got 200 followers on Twitter) but still makes me feel good that someone wrote an article about something I did and they're not connected to me in any way.

This Saturday will be the first time in over a year I head into the CBD And the first time in over a year I go to a movie theater. It's gonna feel weird.

I think movie theatres are currently allowed 50% capacity but will go up to 75% on Monday in SA

I'm still avoiding them until there's a vaccine. I don't care how far apart people are, you're still sitting in a room with them for 2 hours.

I haven't even caught a cold this year, it has been so great staying away from people and all the extra sanitizing. I hope hand sanitizer continues to be a thing at shop entrances even after COVID.

I hadn't been to a cinema in years until going to see Akira recently. I was hesitant as at that stage I wasn't even going to shopping centres. At that stage it had been several weeks of no cases in our greater area. Luckily there was only about 6 other people.

It was a weird feeling but once the movie started I relaxed more.

Enjoy the movie and CBD trip, does melbourne still have to wear masks?

Missed out on watching Akira 4k at the cinemas in Sydney :(

Despite owning the VHS, DVD & BR, it's one of those movies you have to watch on the big screen (as well as Nolan's Batman trilogy).

I'd buy it on Akira 4k BR but that OFLC rating on cover really ruins the image. :(

Might have to import from the UK if it's cheaper there.

Going to the cinema doesn't worry as much anymore. Everyone is spaced out and the staff look at where people are sitting near the end of movie so they wipe down and clean those seat especially.

How many movies have their release date pushed out to next year! :(

Same. I think I might be taking the flu vaccine every year from now on to be safe.

It's quite concerning when you see hand sanitizer at the front of the shop saying 75% alcohol. :/
