Can work from home but we have to go to the office for one day of the week.

From what I've seen on the public transport system, it's mainly construction workers and health workers early in the morning.

Still waiting for the NSW government to announce a lockdown for the state.

Not looking forward to the panic buying in the supermarkets for the Easter long weekend. I better get in early this week.

Also corona has affected the release of The Last of Us II. :(

Been doing deliveries for some people in isolation (fruit and veg shop not supermarket) got sanitizer and gloves and mask. Fewer orders for other places like pubs (not open) etc.

Working from home. Wife still has to go out for work but I'm only leaving the house for a morning walk or weekly shopping.

Was testing stuff to work from home so I knew it could work, asked if I could work from home full time, work said sorry we're too busy but you can take annual leave if you want, so I took annual leave because fuck them. Too busy to work from home but not too busy for me to take annual leave? What a crock.

Been checking emails and when I get back they're letting us work from home for 2 days a week. Still don't get why I can't work from home full time now. Just because we're a TAFE we have to come in, even though there's no students around now?

ive heard a few people say similiar. i think business/managers still need to feel like they have sort of control. i had one friend who said their boss said they could work from home but would have to take reduced hours (eg paid less) but keep the same workload.

But...More streaming time for you Str8Jakt?

Sort of. I'm part of a streaming group called Game On Australia. I stream one night a week on their channel. There's a financial arrangement if viewers sub or donate during my streaming time, plus I get my name out there more as well.

About three weeks ago the head guy comes to us and says "guys, I want to do two week's worth of 24 hour streaming, essentially a quarantine period's worth of entertainment. Quarantainment if you will." and we made it happen. Put out the call to as many Australian and New Zealand streamers we could find and filled it all out. I've done a few streams there (my last stream is tomorrow (Monday) at 10am Perth time doing Rock Band 4), but I've also been helping out getting upcoming streamers ready and making sure they can connect, and modding the chat as well. Since I'm in Perth I've been getting a lot of the late night shifts as my late isn't as late for someone over east or in NZ. My sleep schedule is well and truly fucked up right now lol

It's been amazing to see! Have a look at twitch.tv/gameonaus/ to see the streamers. We're finishing up on Wednesday with a podcast from 5:30pm WA time.

I think that was my most fun stream ANZ Live. I haven't played Rock Band in ages and I had a blast. Except for when one mongrel put in a request for Dream Theater. My arms are still sore form that!

Work more for less? No thanks. That's what I think those higher ups expect.

How about if you are sick while working from home? Pre-corona, if I was ever sick, call the office, say I was sick and then I would switch the phone off and get the rest to recover.

Do employers expect us to work while sick at home?

How's everyone coping with the new restrictions and current coronavirus issues?

I feel like im in an ok routine at home but am going a little stir crazy. I'm watching much less TV about the Virus as at one stage I seemed to have it on the tv all day and it was stressing me out.

When working from home, I only listen in the background to the ABC 24 noon news. I think information overload is a bad thing.

Woolworths, Coles. Big W. JB even.

For peace of mind, everyone should be tested even if you don't have COVID19.

Also, Australia should have done what they did in New Zealand from the very beginning: Level 4 lockdown.

Australian Federal Government is so indecisive.

I'm getting cabin fever. All I've been doing is going to and from work, with the odd trip to the shops but I need to get out and do something.

Telstra, Optus, etc are offering extra data on some of their mobile plans.

Since I don't have NBN yet, going to use data that to download some of my DRM Free games from GOG, HumbleBundle, etc to archive them

So here in NSW, restrictions wil be implemented on public transport.

A maximum of 12 people will be allowed on buses, while only 32 passengers will be allowed on each train carriage. Ferries will be allowed to carry 45 commuters at a time.

Clearly the NSW government aren't aware how many people (essential workers) were using the public transport during the restriction periods.

More cars on the roads. Great.
