It's more the menu planning for me. Shops are close to me too but I buy the easy things like pies and microwave meals, and this way I'll have stuff left over for lunches as well, so I don't have to worry about prepping things for lunch.

Make a spreadsheet of 100 items you like to cook. Get a set of d100 and roll that shit. Give that a trial first, you're basically paying for the convince of having someone else tell you want to eat.

I try to cook in bulk and then freeze serves for future meals when I'm feeling lazy.

I preordered a 20th anniversary digimon. Hopefully I don’t cry when my friend kills it in battle like in year 7.

I have something dumb I wouldn't mind buying from you guys.

Weird request, would any of you have and be willing to sell me old issues of Hyper magazine?

I kinda have a nostalgic desire to have them.

If not would anyone have access to PDFs? I have a link to the first 90 or so issues if anyone else is in a nostalgic mood

my hyper magazines and some of my SNES games are the two things I wouldn't sell.(sorry)

my plan one day is to start at my earliest issue (issue 2) and read through 1 each week and maybe play some games from each magazine.

need to keep an eye out on gumtree etc as they do come up sometimes

defiantly not a dumb thing, the old issues are a nostalgic joy to read

Honestly I would much rather have digital versions. I'm planning on scanning my own. I've got all of 2006 to 2009 and some sporadic ones from 2012-14 and all from 2015 onward.

I was thinking it'd be real cool to have every issue on a shelf until I realised they didn't start doing the neat aesthetically appealing flat spines until about issue 120.

I've seen several issues on ebay from about 15-20$ each but that's way too much than I'm willing to pay.

I'm happy with the issues I have, they're the only magazine I kept. Looking back though I'm super pissed at myself for not keeping my N64 Gamer and Nintendo Magazine System mags.

If anyone here would be willing to scan old issues I don't have into PDFs I'd be willing to pay for that too.

I used to have every issue since they started, but unfortunately threw them away a few years back (apart from the ones I'm printed in). I moved house 3 times in less than 2 years and there's only so many times you want to deal with boxes and boxes of magazines you never read and also find places to store them.

EDIT Google "hyper magazines scanned" and you might the results interesting

Oh boy how I've Googled many combinations of that phrase. The only working link with free PDFs to download is that RetroCDN site, with another one that requires payment for access. The rest are either just a front cover gallery or dead, unless you know of a site I'm not looking hard enough at?

i had been thinking about buying a "gaming" PC and on impulse bought one. I've never been into PC games, but there are several indie and old games i want to play (purchased through Steam and GOG). now need to figure out if there is any newish PC games i should get.

Depends what sorts of games you're into.

Do you like Earthbound-like games? Do you like 'Sad Dad' games? If yes then try LISA on Steam.

Yeah, Lisa looks right up my alley. Also wondering if I should look at current games that actually have graphics that make my graphics card do something

A fair number of PS3/360 games had PC settings that bring them up to par with their PS4 ports, sometimes going beyond with lighting and texture detail.

Games like AC4 Black Flag, Shadow of Mordor, Metal Gear Revengence and 5, Bioshock Infinite, DOOM 2016, The Witcher 3, Wolfenstien The New Order, Saints Row 3/4, GTA 5, Alien Isolation, and Just Cause 3/4 are all games that look better on a beefy PC than on PS4.

Any new game will only look slightly better or on par with PS4 games unless you've got something like a high end 6GB or an 8GB graphics card with a high enough CPU to keep up with it.

The PC has a Ryzen 7 2700x and a AMD RX580 8gb. Only 8gb of Ram though and it's a Dell so I think the name slows it down a bit
